In the Education Assistant program, learn how to support teachers and advocate for inclusive classroom environments, while you train for your new career both in-class and online.

Offering more flexibility than a traditional classroom, become familiar with alternative teaching tactics including sign language, Boardmaker, and TouchMath, and learn how to create individualized learning plans, while ensuring you get the one-on-one attention you need to succeed in your studies.

Before you graduate, you will complete two separate practicums for a total of eight weeks. Graduate with a number of marketable skills so you can work in a variety of settings including elementary and secondary schools, group homes, and youth centres.
